The Praire Pipe Line Company was organized on Jan 14 1915 under the Laws of the State of Kansas and commenced doing business Feb 1 1915. At this time The Prairie Pipe Line Company took over the pipe lines, pumping stations and telegraph lines which were owned by The Prairie Oil and Gas Company. The Charter for the Company was signed by W.F. Gates, C.H. Kountz, F.M. Wilhelm, R.G. Hare, and George Coyle, who were subsequently elected Officers and Directors of the Company and have served continuously as such since date of organization.
At the time of organization of this Company a large number of men who were in the employ of the Pipe Line Department of The Prairie Oil & Gas Company were transferred to the service of The Prairie Pipe Line Company, and it is to these faithful employees, and others who have entered the service since organization, that this book is dedicated.
